Now it’s school time 🏫

During our first week in Ireland we had done loads of  cool activities and tried many sports. But after all that fun, it was time to go to school and try to learn new things in the language that we had been learning for so long (almost 14 years 😅): English.

So we started our first complete school day on thursday. I had 5 classes that day, instead of 6, ´cause on thursdays and fridays we finish school earlier. So, the 5 subjects that I had were Musical, Spanish, P.E.,  Irish, and Social, Personal and Health Education. My favourite one was Irish, because there I learnt a lot of useful sentences in that language that we after recorded as a convertation with Ruairí. That day wasn´t to busy, we came back home after school, and we just chilled. On friday, we also had just 5 subjects (which were Musical, Geography, Religious Education, English and Home Economics), but we actually missed lat classe ´cause we helped preparing the Scoil Póil's Awards Night. A good fact that I realized, is that in this school, every single teacher, student or class has very good electronic devices, such as Tvs, mobile phones, tablets... And they use them a lot for different asks and projects!

Well, so continuing with the day, in the afternoon we had a culture night with all the Erasmus students, in which we learnt brush dancing. It sounds wierd, right? But it is so fun! One of the Irish students's mother taught us how to do it, and we all learnt really fast! When we finished, we came back home to relax, and that was the end of our first week in Ireland 😊.

The day after, my weekend started early in the morning, ´cause Ruiarí and me had to help in the water station of a race that was organized by his father, and in which her mother and his oldest brother (named Ewan, who I could met that day for first time because he lives in Galway) both competed in the race. They were exellent in it! (And also, when the runners were arriving, we had to write down how much time had they run.) The rest of that day, I could talk and rest with Ewan, who was really nice to me, and with Ruairí and his parents. I hadn't talked to Ryan (the other Ruairís brother) because he is a little bit shy, but that's ok, ´cause I know he is very kind and pleasant.

On Sunday, we also helped with a sports event for children that was made for raise some money for the sports centre near my irish family's house (me and Ruairí raced in an obstacle course, and he won, heheh 😄). And as a fun fact, at the sports event, there was a funny game, in which you had to chose a tile in the floor in which you thought the donkeys were going to poo , and the winner received 200€!

In the evening, we went to Ruairí's cousin birthday party . All the rest of the cousins were there too (and a lot of family members that I coul meet) and I played a hurling match with them. It was so fun and crazy! After it, they told me that I was very good catching the ball in the game 😁.  So, the weekend was almost finished, I rested at home and also helped Ruairí to finish setting up a goal that he had recieved for his birthday. When we finished, we played football there, in his garden. And that's it, I´ll tell you more about Ireland in the next time. Until then, thanks for reading and, see you soon!
