Last weekend in Ireland ⛰🏖🍦
My last weekend ir Ireland was very cool! I did loads of great things and visited amazing places that I´m gonna tell you now.
I started my Saturday very relaxed. I didn´t really do anything until after the great brunch that Trisha (Ruairí's mum) had prepared for us. In that evening, Ruairí's dad (Robert), Ruairí and went on a trip. We went visiting Mitchelstown Caves, in Cork. Before we entered into the caves, we could see beautiful views of the Galtees (which are actually some huge mountains). We enjoyed a lot the guide visit that we had in the caves, and we also learnt a lot of things. (A funny fact is that, in the caves, some of the rocks and structures had either animal or different objects shape, such as an elephant, a pizza oven, or even a giant swan!). After that, we came back to Limerick too see the pretty town of Cahir. We had a drink in a very good café, visited the castle of the town and walked around it‘s big park, which had funny elements where you could pose for great photos 😊. It was very relaxing and really interesting! So, when we finished, we returned home for having dinner and chill.
On Sunday, we went with Rauirí’s parents to Clare. In that other county that we visited, we explored a lot of cool spots that I couldn’t miss. We saw the Burren, which is a big area with loads of rocks and a historical strucuture called Poulnabrone Dolmen. (In the way there, we stopped and saw one of the mst famous castles of Ireland: the Bunratty castle.) The next thing that we did was walking along a cool beach in (Doolin) with loads of rocks too. The landscape there was incredible. We kept going with our trip, and we headed towards the Cliffs of Moher. The family told me that this was the most atractive sight in all Ireland. And it was one of the best nature experiences in my hole life. Really, I enjoyed so much al the views in the cliffs. They were just fantastic! We also so a "4D experince" video before starting our walk around the place. After that, we had a new destination: the Lahinch Beach. There, we had such an incredible dinner in a cool "vintage" restaurant. I tried some spicy chicken wings that were some nice, and the famous fish and chips. Oh, it was so good! Our last activity of the day was having a tasty ice cream (mine was of sea salt flavour) and going for another walk, this time, along that other beach. When that was done, in the way home we stopped and contemplated a little ancent tower that was 5 minutes away of Ruairí's home. Actually, we always see it while we are in the car on the way to school every day. So, after all that, we finally came back home and rested.
And that's how my last weekend in Ireland finished. It was one of thebest weekends I´ve ever had 😃! Next time, I´ll tell you more things about the following days here. Until then, thanks for reading, and see you soon!
