My last weekend ir Ireland was very cool! I did loads of great things and visited amazing places that I´m gonna tell you now. I started my Saturday very relaxed. I didn´t really do anything until after the great brunch that Trisha  (Ruairí's mum) had prepared for us. In that evening, Ruairí's dad (Robert), Ruairí and went on a trip. We went visiting Mitchelstown Caves, in Cork. Before we entered into the caves, we could see beautiful views of the Galtees (which are actually some huge mountains). We enjoyed a lot the guide visit that we had in the caves, and we also learnt a lot of things. (A funny fact is that, in the caves, some of the rocks and structures had either animal or different objects shape, such as an elephant, a pizza oven, or even a giant swan!). After that, we came back to Limerick too see the pretty town of Cahir. We had a drink in a very good café, visited the castle of the town and walked around it‘s big park, which had funny elements where you could pose fo...

On my second thursday in Ireland, another traditional Irsh music and dancing was waiting for us. But, before we did that activity, we went to school in the morning as a normal weekday. It is great to go there, ´cause I´ve made loads of new friends from this country, and also because I enjoy the subjects that we have here, as I tod you in earlier entries.  So after school, we came back home, relaxed, and prepared ourselves for the night.  Actually, this time we also had to bring brushes, because we were doing the brush dancing again. When we arrived there, we took a seat in the hall, and waited for the show. All the foreign students were there, and there were a few teachers and a little orchestrain in which Scoil Pól students played. One of our Erasmus mates, Gearóid, was part of it, and he was playing the violin. They all did really good! Some of the musicians also demonstrated us how they danced the brush dance. It seemed they were proffesional dancers! In between some ...

After the busy weekend that I had on the start of my second week, I was coming back to school on Monday. It was a calm day, with great subjects, such as Maths, in which we had to take a little test, or Spanish, where we could help, show and translate the irish students some spanish grammar and vocabulary. That day, we also met the principal of Scoil Pól. She was really nice. She gave as some advice of how could we make the most of this Erasmus expeience. When we finished our classes, we went home and relaxed. Ruairí and me talked, played football, and watched TV.  The next day, we went to school again, but there was something special that we were going to do. That time, I was bringing my swimming pool stuff with me, ´cause our first class was SWIMMING! It was amazng to have swimming as a subject, an a little bit crazy too! So we took the bus from the high school to the University of Limerick. There we had our class, in it was very fun. Surprisingly, the bottom of the pool cou...

During our first week in Ireland we had done loads of  cool activities and tried many sports. But after all that fun, it was time to go to school and try to learn new things in the language that we had been learning for so long (almost 14 years 😅): English.  So we started our first complete school day on thursday. I had 5 classes that day, instead of 6, ´cause on thursdays and fridays we finish school earlier. So, the 5 subjects that I had were Musical, Spanish, P.E.,  Irish, and Social, Personal and Health Education. My favourite one was Irish, because there I learnt a lot of useful sentences in that language that we after recorded as a convertation with Ruairí. That day wasn´t to busy, we came back home after school, and we just chilled. On friday, we also had just 5 subjects (which were Musical, Geography, Religious Education, English and Home Economics), but we actually missed lat classe ´cause we helped preparing the Scoil Póil's Awards Night. A good fact that...
