My last day in Ireland was incredibly good. We went to school for last time. We had lessons about Musical, Spanish, Chemistry (for first time, which I loved, ´cause we did an experiment with bath bombs that the students had already made), Irish, and Social, Personal and Health Education. This last one was my favourite subject of all my time in Scoil Pól, because we spoke and debate about healthtopics during the classes, and it was so interesting for me.  When we finished, we had dinner and met some of the Erasmus students in the school pitch, chatting for a while. After that, the Open Night of the school was going to start, so we entered there to help. In this night, loads of primary school students of the area come to the high school to see if they would like to study secondary school there. So we had to do dfferent things fo them. In my case, I helped Ruairí cooking some vanilla cupcakes for the students in the Home Economics room. It was very cool, and they all ate our dessert v...

Making the most of the few school days left 🧑‍🎓📚

I haven´t really had any planned activieties the days after the weekend, but it had a great time though. On Monday we went to school and had our usual classed. My favourite lessons that day were Maths (in which I learnt some cool things about trigronometry that I´ve never heard about) and Irish (where I recorded a news video in irish with Ruairí and his friends). The rest of the day I chilled and played football with Ruairí and his father (and also his dog, heheh 😂). On Tuesday morning, it was time to go the University of Limerick and have our swimming class. But, when we arrived there, the class was full and the exchange students, we couldn´t enter into the swimming pool. Instead of that, we had a walk around the university. We could see all the pitches, tracks, courts, etc. that were there. It is a huge university to be honest. So when the time there was up, we came back to high school. When we were back at home after the rest of the lessons, Ruairí and me were talking, playing...

My last weekend ir Ireland was very cool! I did loads of great things and visited amazing places that I´m gonna tell you now. I started my Saturday very relaxed. I didn´t really do anything until after the great brunch that Trisha  (Ruairí's mum) had prepared for us. In that evening, Ruairí's dad (Robert), Ruairí and went on a trip. We went visiting Mitchelstown Caves, in Cork. Before we entered into the caves, we could see beautiful views of the Galtees (which are actually some huge mountains). We enjoyed a lot the guide visit that we had in the caves, and we also learnt a lot of things. (A funny fact is that, in the caves, some of the rocks and structures had either animal or different objects shape, such as an elephant, a pizza oven, or even a giant swan!). After that, we came back to Limerick too see the pretty town of Cahir. We had a drink in a very good café, visited the castle of the town and walked around it‘s big park, which had funny elements where you could pose fo...

On my second thursday in Ireland, another traditional Irsh music and dancing was waiting for us. But, before we did that activity, we went to school in the morning as a normal weekday. It is great to go there, ´cause I´ve made loads of new friends from this country, and also because I enjoy the subjects that we have here, as I tod you in earlier entries.  So after school, we came back home, relaxed, and prepared ourselves for the night.  Actually, this time we also had to bring brushes, because we were doing the brush dancing again. When we arrived there, we took a seat in the hall, and waited for the show. All the foreign students were there, and there were a few teachers and a little orchestrain in which Scoil Pól students played. One of our Erasmus mates, Gearóid, was part of it, and he was playing the violin. They all did really good! Some of the musicians also demonstrated us how they danced the brush dance. It seemed they were proffesional dancers! In between some ...
